News 8 Primetime 585 Elite Awards: Girls field

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) – Here are the Elite awards for girls field, starting with small schools.

Small Schools

The small school winner has soared through the competition during her indoor track season.

She was the Section V Class A-4 champion in the both the triple and long jump. Those jumps also broke both school records.

The long jump set a new Wayne Finger Lakes League record.

She went to states and placed 13th in the triple jump with a 4th place in the long jump and became the first student to ever represent her school in two events at States.

Our winner for Small School Girls Indoor Field events is from Williamson, Elizabeth Brandt !

Large Schools

The large school winner is one of the very best track and field stars in Section V history.

She took first place in States in the long jump and triple jump, where she set an indoor state record.

She is first in the nation in the triple jump and 16th in the long jump and she’s ranked 19th on the Girls National Track Index.

She has set school records in the 55, 100, 200, 300, 4 by 100, 4 by 200, the sprint medley relay, the indoor long jump and the indoor and outdoor long jump and is also a three time All-American in the triple jump.

All those accolades might not even be her greatest accomplishment. Next year, she will be taking her talents to Harvard University.
