RIT groundbreaking new Tiger Stadium

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — In “groundbreaking” news the Rochester Institute of Technology is celebrating the start of construction for its new Tiger Stadium!

We’re told the 30-million-dollar project will feature a 38-thousand-square-foot facility with new team locker rooms, a training room, a media suite, a concession area, and an outdoor concourse.

Executive Director of Athletics Jacqueline Nicholson said, “For both the RIT community and the Greater Rochester Area, Tiger Stadium will stand as a premiere outdoor venue, distinguished by its size and configuration. It will elevate our athletic program, setting us apart from our competitors and leaving a lasting legacy for generations to come.”

RIT staff say the stadium will be host to men’s and women’s lacrosse and soccer programs.
