ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — Stay up to date on the latest headlines in today’s Sunrise Smart Start for Friday, April 19, 2024.

Weather Forecast: Another day, another front as rain returns in Rochester

Rain is moving into the region this morning. Expect them to move from west to east. Those showers last through the afternoon and wind is noticeable, Going from a SE to a SW flow 15-20 mph.

Skies begin to clear out going into Saturday and the dewpoints drop into the 30s. That will allow for a cool start to Saturday and a west wind will keep numbers in the 40s to barely 50°. While I’d like to say we stay dry here, a weak boundary will slip by Saturday afternoon, and that’s going to elevate our rain chances. We’ll keep a few sprinkles in the forecast for Saturday, but most will remain dry and there should be sunshine around. High pressure Sunday will make sure skies clear out, but it’s a cold day with numbers in the 30s and 40s.
