Genesee Brewery staff help clean up Highland Park

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — The Genesee Brewery continued its mission of improving the community environment with an Earth Day cleanup.

Staff from the brewery joined members of the Highland Park Conservancy to help clean and improve Rochester’s historic Highland Park Monday. All of this came weeks before the annual Lilac Festival takes place, which is a key reason of why they chose the park.

“It’s such a staple in the Rochester community and really beyond,” said Genesee Brew House employee Correna Dolce. “It’s such an important gathering place in our community, and that impacts what we try to do. Why not come out here and revitalize these gorgeous lilacs?”

Each year, the Genesee Brewery employees are given paid time off to give back to their community.
