Local and state officials highlight Rochester’s NYS budget

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — New funding was secured for the Flower City as part of the state budget with a total of 30 million on its way to Monroe County.

This is expected to target issues including the cost of living for families, public safety, and poverty. In fact, half of the 50 million anti-poverty dollars distributed by the state are coming to Rochester.

Senator Samra Brouk says this is big for the local community as Rochester had been left behind in the past.
