Rochester 2024 Juneteenth Festival plans announced

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — “From 1964 to 2024: 60 years in the Fight for Justice in Rochester” is the theme for the 2024 Juneteenth Festival.

The Greater Rochester Martin Luther King Jr. Commission announced Tuesday that the festival would be held on Saturday, June 15.

The parade gets things going at 10 a.m., followed by festivities at Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Park continuing through 8 p.m.

Activities include artists and entertainment, vendors, community resources, Teen Empowerment Youth Poets, Elders’ Circle Tribute and Youth Black Scholars Recognition. Admission to the Strong Museum of Play will be free that day.
