Rochester Chamber of Commerce hosts first MWBE ceremony

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — The Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce hosted its first annual Greater Rochester Chamber Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprises (MWBE) Thursday morning.

The ceremony was held in the Riverside Convention Center to recognize newly honored business owners and 231 of last year’s MWBEs that were certified by Monroe County. The goal of this event is to make economic growth equitable by helping business owners of all backgrounds overcome racial and structural barriers.

Over 450 people were in attendance to witness MWBEs sharing their journeys and ongoing success stories. For a full list of award winners, click here .
