Red Wings celebrates the Lilac Festival with new uniforms, events, and more!

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — The Rochester Red Wings will be celebrating all things lilac during the week of the Rochester Lilac Festival.

The Rochester Red Wings showcased new uniforms to celebrate the Lilac Festival. The players’ uniforms and hats feature the ROC logo on them with an illustration of a bouquet of lilacs. The Flower City logo adorns the left sleeve and the Red Wings logo is on the right. The team’s merchandise will also reflect this new addition.

Dan Mason, the GM of Red Wings, announced “ROC the Lilac” — a week-long celebration happening the week of the festival. A bunch of promotions will take place during the games. Games that lucky fans could compete in such as guessing the name of a song, a Wegmans shopping cart spree, and “Bobbing for White Hots.”

Innovative Field will also feature new food specials during this week — a chicken french sandwich with meat hot sauce, a “plate dog,” a Lilac gin cocktail, and more!

“Just when you thought the Red Wings couldn’t be any more embedded in the community, my amazing staff creates an opportunity like this to showcase our great city,” said Red Wings CEO Naomi Silver.
