ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — It’s that time of year when high school students across the country are gearing up for the SAT, and this year there’s been a few changes.

The test is supposed to assess students’ readiness for college and is used by most universities to make admissions decisions. The exam is offered only a few times a year one of those dates being tomorrow and another on June 1.

Susan Steron, the Director at Sylvan Learning said “The biggest kind of concern is the new format where there’s two different modules where students are kind of placed based on their performance in the first module to either a harder module are easier module on both math and verbal. So it’s really important that students do well on that first module so that they have a chance at some of those higher questions.”

In recent years, the SAT has moved to a digital format but experts say that’s not the only thing that’s changed
