    Brighton boys lacrosse wins big on senior night

    BRIGHTON, N.Y. (WROC) — After being tied 2-2 midway through the first quarter, Brighton scored the next six goals to take down Greece 11-3 on senior night.

    Corey Schell scored a goal with 3:56 to play in the first quarter to make it 3-2. The Bruins then netted four goals in the second quarter to take a 7-2 lead into the half. Aksel Stanat then scored the first goal of the third quarter to increase the lead to 8-2.

    After a Greece goal, Brighton scored the final three goals to secure the win.

    Stanat finished with five goals to lead all scorers. Brighton’s Corey Schell had three goals and two assists. Miles McGuire, Tim Tourangeau, and Mitch Minor each had a goal.

    Aiden Early, James Maccallini, and Carter Fabian netted goals for Greece. Jonathan Bucciarelli made 15 saves and eclipsed the 700-save milestone for his career.

    Brighton (5-6) will visit Webster Thomas on Tuesday, May 7th. Greece (6-6) will visit Hilton on the same evening.
