Golden Apple: Congratulations to Meghan Lupinetti!

Spencerport, N.Y. (WROC) — Congratulations to our latest Golden Apple Award winner Meghan Lupinetti! Mrs. Lupinetti is a first-grade teacher at Munn Elementary School in Spencerport.

Mrs. Lupinetti is one of those teachers that children just love.

Student Eleanor Baxter says, “she’s kind she helps us and she’s really nice.”

Principal Michael Canny adds, “she does a great job creating a positive environment for her kids.  She does a super job tailoring the instruction for her kids and really works hard to partner with our parents.”

In fact, two different parents reached out to us, nominating the first-grade teacher for a Golden Apple Award.

Elizabeth Popek is one of those parents. She says about Lupinetti, “She’s just phenomenal. She really cares for the kids and is kind, outgoing, and creative with all of her lessons.  She is just one of those people that you love to send your children to school with and we are grateful she works in the district.”

Mom Amanda Baxter says, “she made sure that Eleanor got every service that she needed, and I just appreciate that because sometimes you are fighting for those services, and I feel that Mrs. Lupinetti really dives in deep on each one of her students.”

This is Meghan Lupinetti’s 8th year teaching at Munn Elementary in Spencerport.  “I just love working with the kids.  I love to teach them and work with them and see how much they learn and how much they grow,” she says,

As a mom herself she knows how to connect with the kids and their parents.  “The kids are amazing; the families are amazing.  My daughter is actually in first grade and will graduate with this class and I couldn’t have asked for better kids, better families to have my daughter grow up with too”, says Lupinetti.
