GREECE N.Y. (WROC) – Parents in Greece Central School District demand more action from school board members Tuesday night– following last week’s bomb threat.

Last Friday there was a delayed start in Greece Arcadia middle and high schools due to a transphobic email threating to bomb the schools. leaders say the threat was in direct response to a viral video of a fight that took place in February.

At Tuesday’s school board meeting, one Greece parent who said she was speaking on behalf of other parents in the district said the schools no longer seem safe for their children and they want that to change.

“We parents, tonight, and from now on ask that you stop taking other people’s words for it, you get in the schools, and you not only listen to us, but you involve us actively. We ask that you turn your way of thinking to include us parents in the process and ask us to be active and helping make Olympia safe again,” she said.

School Board President Sean Mccabe reassured them that the schools are safe.

“We take steps every day to make changes to do what’s right keep our staff and students safe in our buildings. Can you stop every incident from happening? No, but you can take measures and that’s what we do. We are having a safety and security meeting next week where we’re going to discuss some options of other things we’re looking at doing to improve safety and security in our buildings,” said McCabe.

you can start by disciplining the trouble and holding these parents accountable. If they're not being taught at home how to act in school then start with the parents that are failing these kids
