ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — Behind a career day from Clifford Gatson, the RIT Tigers advanced to the Division III national championship game after defeating Bowdoin 19-11. The RIT junior led the way with nine points and seven goals.

The Tigers led 4-3 after the first quarter. The turning point of the game was RIT’s 9-1 run that ended late in the third quarter.

Jake Erickson finished with three goals while Luke Pilcher, Miles Tillman, and Dylan Bruno each had two scores.

The Tigers are back in the national championship game after falling short in the semifinals last year. RIT won back to back national titles in 2021 and 2022.

RIT (21-2) will take on the winner of Tufts and Washington & Lee in the national title game on Sunday, May 26th. The game will take place at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, PA.
