Schroeder’s Kelly is Player of the Week

Monday means we are required to name another top high school athlete our Player of the Week.

This week, it’s a junior whose all-around game was a huge part of keeping his team’s season alive.

Webster Schroeder’s Jack Kelly helped the Warriors finish the regular season with a pair of wins. He struck out eight in five shutout innings on Tuesday then added two hits in another win on Thursday.

In Schroeder’s playoff opener Saturday, Kelly went back to the hill and twirled a complete game with eight strikeouts in a 3-1 win. He also drove in one of the Warrior runs.

Schroeder will play in Tuesday’s sectional quarterfinals and Kelly gets to be our Player of the Week.
