Penfield flag football wins back-to-back sectional titles

BRIGHTON, N.Y. (WROC) — Penfield jumped out to a 12-0 lead and never looked back, taking down Greece Arcadia 31-13 to win the Class A flag football sectional title for the second straight year.

Molly Brown had the two biggest plays of the game for Penfield. To close the first half, she broke a tackle and went 64 yards for a receiving touchdown. To start the second half, she had a pick-six to put the Patriots up 24-7.

Penfield (11-2) will take on Clarence in the state regional round on Saturday, May 25th at 1:30 p.m. The game will be played at Sweet Home High School in the Buffalo area.

Arcadia’s season ends with a 9-4 record.
