OCSO: Man accused of stealing over $3,300 of merchandise from Dick’s

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) – Ontario County Sheriffs have arrested a man after he allegedly stole over $3,300 of merchandise from a Dick’s location at Eastview Mall in Victor.

Deputies say 27-year-old Travis Jeffrey Welch was arrested following an investigation into a complaint of shoplifting at the Dick’s Sporting Goods at Eastview Mall.

After investigation it was determined that Welch took $3,360.90 worth of merchandise and passed all points of sale without paying for the items.

Welch was charged with one count of grand larceny in the third degree. He was transported to the Ontario County Jail where he awaits arraignment.

Welch will be due back in the Town of Victor Court on a later date to answer the charge.
