ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — A pedestrian was seriously injured Tuesday, when she was hit by an airborne car that had struck a barrier near Strong Memorial Hospital.

According to the Rochester Police Department, the man driving the car was headed to Strong Memorial Hospital for psychiatric treatment around 1:00 p.m. when he sped into a barrier in a parking lot along Kendrick Road at Lattimore Road.
