ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — A pedestrian was hospitalized Wednesday after being pinned under a car in a ditch off Hudson Avenue.

According to police, a 74-year-old woman was turning from Hudson Avenue to the NY-104 on-ramp when a 37-year-old man on a bicycle ran into the side of her car. He was pulled under the vehicle and dragged into the ditch.

Police said the bicyclist was still pinned under the vehicle when officers got to the scene. Police and firefighters lifted the car to get the man out. He was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital.

The victim initially had life-threatening injuries, but police confirmed Thursday morning that his injuries are considered non-life-threatening

Investigators said no criminal charges or traffic tickets would be filed.
