ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — Rochester police announced arrests have been made in the deadly triple shooting on Hazelwood Terrace earlier this week.

Nasezire Horton, 21, and Quentin Riviere were arraigned in court Friday morning. Both men pleaded not guilty to their charges. This stemmed from a fatal triple shooting earlier this week.

On Monday, 19-year-old Rukia Isaack, a 15-year-old boy, and a 16-year-old boy were all shot on the corner of Hazelwood Terrace and Denver Street. Isaack died from her injuries and the two teenagers were left seriously injured.

Horton and Riviere were arrested and charged in the shooting. Investigators said one of the boys was the intended target, but Isaack was hit by a stray bullet. Additionally, neither of the suspects was allowed to possess a handgun due to prior convictions.

Thursday night, RPD’s SWAT Team arrested the two suspects at a home on Edmonds Street. The searches uncovered over 150 packets of crack cocaine for street sale and marijuana.

Both Horton and Riviere were charged with second-degree murder, second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, and two counts of first-degree assault. Horton was charged with two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and Riviere was charged with one count.

In addition, 38-year-old Reynaldo Napier was found inside the Edmonds Street home and was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance.

According to Rochester Police, Horton was convicted multiple times of robbery, criminal possession of a weapon, and assault while in a correctional facility. He had his parole revoked multiple times. Riviere was recently arrested for riding a stolen moped, but was released from custody.

Police believe Horton and Riviere were involved in other shootings in Rochester. Anyone with information about these shooting incidents is asked to call the Major Crimes Homicide Unit at (585)-428-7157 or by emailing MajorCrimes@cityofrochester.gov .

A preliminary hearing for both suspects is scheduled for August 21 at 2 p.m.
