    ARPA funding applications open in Monroe County

    ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — Grant applications opened Friday for non-profit organizations seeking American Rescue Plan Act funding in Monroe County.

    The $6 million ARPA grant fund was approved by the Monroe County Legislature Tuesday.

    To be eligible for a portion of the funding, applicants must:

    Qualified Census Tracts ( click here for map )
    • Be a non-profit corporation authorized to do business in New York
    • Be registered with the New York Charities Bureau
    • Operate a physical location in a Qualified Census Tract in Monroe County from at least 2019 to the present
    • Have at least 51 percent of operations take place in Qualified Census Tracts in Monroe County from at least 2019 to the present
    • Have filed a Form 990 in 2022 and 2023.

    if you haven't used it by now, send it back to the federal government. These were for specific tagged areas. They're not slush funds. Send it back like you're SUPPOSED to do.
