    Man left seriously hurt after being hit by car, woman charged with DWI

    ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) – One woman was arrested for drunk driving after she hit a man walking and a nearby building in Rochester, police said.

    Police were called to the intersection of Dewey Avenue and Driving Park Avenue around 11 p.m. Friday for the report of a crash.

    According to police, the 29-year-old driver left the road before striking a 36-year-old man. Police said she then ran into a nearby building, causing damage.

    The man was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. Police said he remains hospitalized in critical but stable condition.

    The woman was arrested at the scene and charged with DWI.

    The crash is still under investigation.
