RPD’s new K9 member named after Officer Anthony Mazurkiewicz

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) – Rochester Police Department is welcoming their newest member – K-9 MAZ!

According to RPD, MAZ has been named after fallen Officer Anthony Mazurkiewicz who was fatally shot while in an unmarked car with his partner Officer Sino Seng in 2022.

After a few months of training, MAZ will be ready to help serve the community, RPD announced in a post on ‘X’ formally known as twitter.
