Man hospitalized after shooting outside Gantt R-Center

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — One man was taken to the hospital after a shooting outside the David F. Gantt R-Center.

According to the Rochester Police Department, officers were investigating North St. after several ShotSpotter activations. This happened after midnight on Wednesday.

Officers found evidence of a shooting, but no victims. However, they learned a 54-year-old man was taken to Rochester General Hospital with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds. It was determined he was shot on North Street.

RPD is continuing to investigate the shooting and is encouraging anyone with information to call 911.
