ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — Celeta Johnson, 35, was named in the AMBER Alert issued Tuesday night as police were looking for a missing a 7-year-old boy.

The AMBER Alert said the boy was last seen with his mother, Celeta Johnson, around North Water Street in Rochester, NY.

Police have since reported they found the boy unharmed and told News 8 his mother has yet to be charged.

After the boy’s disappearance, Johnson posted several videos accusing Child Protective Services of misconduct.

In one of the videos, Johnson said she lost a child 10 years ago.

News 8 learned through court documents that in 2014, Johnson’s 18-month-old daughter, Azaleyah, was beaten to death in Syracuse.

Johnson’s boyfriend at the time, Kendall Cooper, of Syracuse, was accused of the crime and charged with manslaughter, but was acquitted at trial.

Johnson was never charged in the case.

Before the trial, News 8’s sister station in Syracuse, NewsChannel 9, reported in 2015 that Johnson was arrested at the Onondaga County Courthouse for getting into a fight with Cooper’s family.

News 8 has reached out to Celeta Johnson, her attorney, Child Protective Services, Syracuse Police and the AMBER Alert unite with New York State Police, but have yet to hear back from any of them.

The Rochester Police Department said they would not comment on the case Wednesday.

New York State’s Office of Children and Family Services said all child protective investigation information is confidential per NYS social service law.
