ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — The McQuaid Cross Country Team is tired and proud after completing their annual 25-Hour Relay Friday morning.

For the whole time, there was at least one runner taking laps on the track. The relay wrapped up around 10 a.m.

This year, coaches and runners are raising money for Upstate New York Blind Recreation, an organization that allows people who are blind or visually impaired to compete in athletics. Their goal was $3,000 — and they beat that goal!

“It makes me feel amazing, I’m really glad we were able to pull through here. We had some big donations and thanks a lot to those people who donated,” said senior student Max Schnittman.

This is the 44th time they held the relay run. Each year, the coach says they can log over 200 miles.
