Skywriter display over Rochester Friday

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — A skywriter left smiley faces, hearts, and butterflies in the sky over the Rochester region Friday evening.

Pilot Nathan Hammond was previously scheduled to fly his modified deHaviland Chipmunk aircraft over Buffalo, Rochester, and Batavia ahead of the Wings Over Batavia Air Show .

The air show is happening Saturday and Sunday at the Batavia Airport. Gates open at 2:00 p.m. with flights from 5:00 p.m. until twilight, ending with a drone show at 9:00 p.m. both nights.
