ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — The Irondequoit Arts & Music Festival returned to I-Square Saturday for its second year in a row, this time, with a new addition.

The festival itself was scheduled to run until 8 p.m., with dozens of arts and craft vendors and live music performances onstage. Things kicked off at 11 a.m.

“It’s just really exciting to empower the community through art, and really, it belongs to everyone,” Muralist Kaitlin Rowley said. “Especially when you’re doing something outdoors like painting a mural, you know, murals belong to everybody. It’s a way for people to really celebrate their community.”

New this year for all the car lovers and appreciators out there – was a car show . Organizers said they expected anywhere from 40 to 50 cars to show up for the day, and there was no registration fee. Car owners were treated to free ice cream at the I-Square Market. That event wrapped by 3 p.m.

The event was only held Saturday.
