ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — Two men were shot Thursday afternoon in Rochester and sent to the hospital. The shooting happened in the area of N. Clinton Avenue and Evergreen Street around 3 p.m.

According to Captain Greg Bello with the Rochester Police Department, one of the men was hospitalized after being shot once in the upper body. He is expected to survive his injuries.

The other man, Bello said, was shot twice, once in the upper body, and once in the lower body. His injuries are considered serious, and according to Bello, he was provided lifesaving care on scene before going to the hospital. This victim is also expected to survive his injuries.

No one is in custody. A bag of what appears to be a ‘significant’ number of narcotics was discovered at the scene, according to Bello. Anyone with information is asked to call 911.
