Man hospitalized after shooting on Weyl Street in Rochester

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — One person was hospitalized after a shooting in Rochester Friday.

Officers were called to Weyl Street near Joseph Avenue around 6:00 p.m. for the reported shooting. They found a 33-year-old man who had been shot at least once.

The man was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital with what police said were not life-threatening injuries.

The area around the scene was closed for the police investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call 911.
