ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — Saturday, folks in Webster celebrated the fifth annual Barry’s Irish Festival.

“Our favorite part about this event at Barry’s Irish Festival is seeing every single person and every single smile that comes through that door and being able to say hi to them and really make that part of our own day,” Jessica Barry said.

There was plenty to see and do, including a “Best Kilt” contest, as well as live Irish music and dancers.

The Barry said they felt extremely grateful to have so many people coming out in support of them.

“It’s great that you get to showcase all the wonderful talent that is in our community. We have so many wonderful Irish musicians, Irish dancers – it’s unbelievable,” Danny Barry said. “It’s wonderful to see how people take to it and celebrate together, it’s very, very much a Barry’s family here, it’s wonderful.”

This event ran from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. at the Webster Firemen’s Field. Organizers noted, a portion of the festival’s proceeds will go to first responders and the Rochester American-Irish Heritage and Culture Center.
