ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — Generally breezy weather continues tonight, with lows dropping into the low 40s as clouds slowly increase. We’ll stay dry overnight and into the morning hours on Monday meaning a cool but easy day at the bus stop.

Monday, rain is back in the forecast as a disturbance moves out from the western great lakes and into our region. We’ll expect rain to start in the late morning, but we’ll make a transition to thunderstorms in the afternoon as sunshine helps some instability to develop. While severe weather isn’t the most likely outcome, the environment these storms are expected to form in is capable of supporting stronger to severe storms into the afternoon and evening. Damaging winds and heavy rain are the main risks, additionally some small hail is also possible!

From Tuesday on Rochester enters another dry and sunny stretch as high pressure takes control. While Tuesday is still in the 70s the rest of the week is in the 80s with Thursday peaking at 85! Sunshine will be abundant, but Wednesday and Friday will feature a few extra clouds compared to other days.

Into next weekend we’re still looking dry as our weather pattern largely remains stagnant across the entire northeast. Highs remain largely in the low 80s.
