Man, 30, seriously injured after being shot in Rochester

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — A 30-year-old man was left seriously hurt Sunday night after being shot in Rochester.

Officers said they were called to the area of Lincoln Street near Merrimac Street around 8:30 p.m. Sunday. Upon their arrival, the victim was found shot at least once in the upper body.

He was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital, where he was receiving treatment for what were considered serious injuries. It’s unclear at this time what lead up to the shooting, or if there are any suspects in custody.
