ROCHESTER, NY (WROC) – After a day of flooding across parts of the region, radar is settling down tonight.

This heavy rain is expected to quickly taper off from north to south this evening, allowing us an opportunity to dry out. This will obviously put an end to any additional severe weather. I have a feeling there will be some wet basements in the Webster area after this, unfortunately.

Skies will clear out overnight and set the stage for an extended stretch of dry and warmer weather. Tuesday temperatures won’t do much better than the lower 70s, but warmth continues to build moving forward. Upper 70s Wednesday gives way to lower 80s by Thursday. We’ll keep temperatures into the 80s for the foreseeable future from there with next to zero chance of rain beyond today.
