Gov. Hochul will give public safety update in Rochester

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — Governor Kathy Hochul will be giving a public safety update in the City of Rochester on Monday morning.

Hochul’s news conference in Rochester comes after some recent investigations — these include a homicide investigation into a family of four found dead, multiple car thefts and break-ins happening throughout the city, and recently a father who was accidentally shot by his young child.

Last month, the Governor’s Office released a statement after Thomas Chase was killed in a crash involving a stolen car. The oldest suspect in that case was 19 years old. It’s not clear if Hochul will talk about this or the other crimes happening.

Hochul’s news conference is scheduled to begin at 11:00 a.m. That will be live-streamed on this page.
