ROCHESTER, NY (WROC) – Heavy rain and thunderstorms Monday led to severe flooding in Webster. The rain is over, but some are still picking up the pieces.

Monday’s storms also produced a pair of tornadoes, now taking the statewide total to 31 on the year. That’s the most since we started keeping track back in 1950.

Partly cloudy skies tonight will support temperatures in the 50s. It could also be good enough to provide a view of what is forecast to be a decent display of northern lights overnight. Time will tell if that actually comes to fruition.

More sunshine is expected tomorrow, helping temperatures surge into the upper 70s. We’ll crack the 80s Thursday. Once we do that, we’ll keep those 80s going all the way through the weekend with continued dry and quiet weather expected.
