Strong Museum celebrates ‘Sesame Street Weekend’ with giant Cookie Monster

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — The Strong National Museum of Play will be celebrating Sesame Street this weekend with a giant surprise!

“Sesame Street Weekend at the Strong” invites kids to celebrate the decades-long children’s television series. Along with the usual exhibits, guests can participate in special activities — all with your favorite Sesame Street characters.

The biggest attraction this weekend — literally — is the giant Mecha Cookie Monster! The 30-foot-tall Mecha Cookie will be available this weekend only for guests to take pictures with.

The event will go from Saturday to Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
