Traffic alert: Delays in Rochester due to road work starting Thursday

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — The City of Rochester is warning drivers to expect delays along West Main Street in the days ahead.

According to the city, roadway milling and resurfacing work will begin Thursday, September 12 and run through Friday, September 20. The work will impact West Main Street between Genesee Street and Madison Street.

West Main Street will be open to traffic during the week. There will be traffic delays and lane shifts during work hours.

The city is advising drivers to seek alternate routes when possible.
