Police: 2 dead after Penn Yan murder-suicide

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — Two people are dead after what police called a murder-suicide in Penn Yan.

According to investigators, a family member called police to a home in the village around 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, where they found two people dead of apparent gunshot wounds.

Police said an adult male was shot multiple times. A woman was dead of a single gunshot wound.

The Penn Yan Police Department will not release the names of the people involved until their families have been notified.
