    Homeless man swung sword at woman during argument: Jamestown Police

    ( WJET/WFXP )– A New York man is facing criminal charges after allegedly swinging a sword at a woman while near a child in Jamestown Wednesday morning.

    Jamestown Police were called to an apartment building on the city’s north side around 8:21 a.m. for a report of a man carrying a weapon.

    Police said the man got into a verbal confrontation with a woman at the complex during which he allegedly grabbed a metal replica display sword and swung it at her numerous times in front of a small child.

    Police have identified the man as 25-year-old Isiah T. Fuentes, a homeless man living in the area.

    He’s since been arraigned on charges of first-degree menacing and endangering the welfare of a child pleading not guilty to both charges.

    He’s being held in the Jamestown City Jail without bail.
