ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — A paroled murderer arrested for breaking into two Rochester homes and laying next to a child was convicted Thursday of burglary as a sexually motivated felony.

Laurice Howard, 51, was arrested in October , after a woman woke up to him breaking into her home. She found him laying with her 8-year-old child, wearing only unzipped pants.

She threw Howard out of the house and called police, who discovered he’d broken into another home down the street.

Howard was on parole at the time due to a conviction in 1993 for second-degree murder. His sentencing is scheduled for October 23.
