ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — One firefighter was injured after responding to a house fire on Roycroft Drive.

The Rochester Fire Department says they were called to the fire around 5 a.m. and encountered a heavy fire at the two-and-a-half-story home.

Fire crews were able to protect nearby homes from the flames and were able to bring the fire under control in less than an hour. Nobody was found inside the home.

No civilians were injured, but one firefighter was transported to a local hospital to be evaluated for their injuries.

The fire is currently under investigation.
