ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — Skies remain mostly clear overnight, allowing our temperatures to drop into the upper 50s.

High pressure continues its dominance to start off the work week as the hazy skies from the wildfire smoke begins to slowly fade. We will get to experience much of what we experienced last week. Monday and Tuesday will feature a mixture of sun and clouds as temperatures rise back up into the low to mid 80s for highs. Lows for both nights will fall into the upper 50s.

We’ll be watching a potential area of low pressure that may try to sneak up the East Coast by Wednesday or Thursday of next week, bringing a slight chance of some showers, which at that point will be welcomed. For now, however, we are leaving rain chances low but cloud chances high, no more sunny skies for at least a few days. The clouds, regardless of whether or not it rains, will keep our highs in the 70s, breaking out 80s stretch.

    8-Day Forecast

A mixture of sun and clouds returns to Rochester to end the week and throughout next weekend. Highs will return into the low 80s. However, there are hints of a more unsettled pattern further out that we’ll be keeping a keen eye on.
