Third annual Salsa Festival kicks off at Fringe Fest

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) – The International Plaza kicked off Hispanic Heritage Month as part of Fringe Fest with its third Annual International Salsa Day Celebration Sunday.

Several cultural food options were lined up throughout the plaza as well, complimenting the events wide assortment of global cuisine, culture and heritage.

A salsa competition honoring Marcos Santiago for his contributions to the Hispanic community featured several dancers from across the region.

The event also featured some dance, cultural celebration and music at the Salsa Festival including performances from Naomi, Orq. Antonetti, La Muralla, and DJ Julio Pabony ‘Mezclando’.
