Bicyclist hospitalized after being hit and dragged by a vehicle

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) – A bicyclist is in critical condition after Rochester police say he was struck and dragged by a small vehicle.

Rochester police say they responded to Ormond Street near Lundys Lane around 11:45 a.m. and found a 53-year-old man lying in the roadway. According to police, the man was hit and dragged a short distance by a small vehicle.

RPD says they later learned that the accident was the result of an argument between the driver of the vehicle and the bicyclist. The driver is currently in custody as the investigation continues.

The man was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital with multiple lacerations and is listed in critical condition.
