Police investigate attempted robbery in Chili

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an attempted robbery in Chili.

According to police, two men approached a woman in her car at the intersection of Archer and Beaver Roads around 5:30 a.m. Wednesday, displayed what appeared to be a handgun, and ordered her to get out of the vehicle.

The woman said the man on the driver’s side of the car hit her in the face with the gun.

The woman drove away to Henrietta and reported the attempted robbery to the sheriff’s office. Deputies are asking anyone who saw or has surveillance video of a teenaged Black male wearing dark pants, an orange hooded sweatshirt, and a “twist” in his hair near the scene around the time of the incident to call 911.
