Motorcyclist fighting for life after crash in Rochester

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) —A motorcyclist was hospitalized Thursday night to be treated for what were described as serious injuries following a crash in Rochester.

Officers were called to the area of Lake Avenue and Maplewood Park just before 6 p.m. Police said it was later discovered that the motorcyclist was speeding down Lake Avenue when it collided with an SUV attempting to make a left turn.

The occupants of the SUV weren’t injured. The motorcyclist, identified as a 37-year-old Greece man, was taken to the hospital where police said he was left fighting for his life.

No charges have been announced in this case.

I know this boy. he use to date my daughter. he's not doing good at all and his prognosis is so bad...his a sweet kid he has a 4 year old boy that may never remember his daddy. please pray for him he really is a sweet person nor perfect but he trys so hard to be good.

An eye witness who was right behind the motorcyclist said the black suv ran a red light and he hit them ! And checked several eyewitnesses indicated the motorcyclist was doing the speed limit when the other car ran a red light
