    Rochester set to host two NCAA Championship Events in 2028

    ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — Two National Collegiate Athletic Association championship events are set to take place in Rochester in 2028!

    According to Visit Rochester, the Rochester Institute of Technology and the Blue Cross Arena will host the 2028 NCAA Division I Men’s Ice Hockey Regionals. Officials said two opening-round contests and a second-round game will be played at the Blue Cross Arena. The winner of the championship would then advance to the Frozen Four in Chicago.

    RIT’s Tiger Stadium is expected to host the 2028 NCAA Division III Women’s Lacrosse Finals. RIT will also host two national semifinal games on Friday, May 26, 2028, and Sunday, May 28, 2028.

    Officials said these events are expected to bring benefits to the economy of the Rochester area. Visitors from across the country are also expected.
