New York Army National Guard helicopters return from North Carolina deployment

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — Three New York Army National Guard CH-47 Chinook cargo helicopters returned to Rochester Wednesday after helping with Hurricane Helene recovery efforts in North Carolina.

Officials said 16 soldiers, four generators, and the three helicopters were sent from Rochester to support the North Carolina National Guard. They moved food, water, medical supplies, generators, and fuel totaling 99 tons during the deployment, along with 32 emergency responders.
