    Brighton, Fairport football remain undefeated

    Brighton 14, Irondequoit 6

    After a scoreless first half for both teams, the Bruins punched in two touchdowns to secure the win over Irondequoit.

    Brighton’s first touchdown came from a 10-yard rush from Gavin Parks to go up 7-0. Parks totaled 39 carries for 194 yards on the night.

    Irondequoit responded with its own rushing touchdown from Cameron Freeman for 18 yards. The Eagles went for two but could not convert, trailing 7-6.

    The Bruins added on another touchdown in the fourth quarter as Grady Hopkin faked a handoff and connected with Noah Wagner, bringing the score to 14-6.

    Brighton’s defense forced five punts and totaled four sacks to lead them to victory.

    Brighton (6-0) will host Spencerport on Friday, October 18th. Irondequoit (5-1) will travel to Churchville-Chili on the same evening.

    Fairport 28, Hilton 0

    Fairport’s defense held Hilton scoreless to pick up its sixth-straight win on Thursday night.

    Jonathan Roessel had a touchdown reception and an interception in the second quarter as the Red Raiders led 21-0 at half. The final touchdown came from Noah Remington in the fourth quarter to seal the shutout win.

    Fairport (6-0) will host UPrep on Friday, October 18th. Hilton (4-2) will travel to Penfield on the same evening.
