Weather Forecast: Sun and warmth to finish the week

ROCHESTER, NY (WROC) – We have a gorgeous day for you with sunshine and temperatures A weak cold front approaches from the north Friday night. This won’t bring any rain, but it should push temperatures down a bit Saturday.

We start off the weekend with mostly sunny skies and temperatures in the 50s to lower 60s. Clouds increase late ahead of our next storm system to arrive from the west early Sunday. Expect showers with a few soaking downpours through the afternoon. There will be a few hours of dry time before another wave of rain moves through on Monday. The system spins north into Canada and holds for a bit, rotating cooler air into New York State. This will keep us breezy through the start of next week with the chance for a few lake-effect rain showers.

The longer range looks pretty optimistic for some drier and more comfortable weather. We dry out for the second half of next week and should warm up into next weekend.
